Born in 1992 in the Chinese city of Chongqing—notoriously known for being one of the most beautiful, but also hard to walk cities in China (Just Google, you’ll understand) Xianjie Li immigrated to Canada to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto soon after completing high school. Following in the academic footsteps of his mother, an esteemed university professor at Sichuan International Studies University ( 四川外国语大学) and his father who is a public servant.
